It is very disturbing that people do spam our email inbox. Many times we use different mail for our official work and personal life. But spammer always get hold on our Gmail account. Many e-commerce portals, social media website keep sending the useless mail directly to our inbox even though we are not subscribed to there mailing list.
Now Gmail provides best solution for such kind of mail who are just peeping Tom in our inbox and nothing else. Gmail account offer the many solutions to deal with such kind of mails, one can delete them without reading and allowing them in inbox or you can now move them directly a specified label.
This can be done by using a Gmail feature called as ‘Filters’, filters are the specialized feature of a Gmail account to deal with & to manage flow of many incoming mails in inbox.
How to use Gmail filter to avoid unwanted mail from a specific sender?
One can use filter to avoid an unwanted mail from any specified sender. Follow the given steps to use Gmail filters and avoid unwanted mails-
- To activate filter for any specific email id that sending you useless mails; just SELECT that mail and click on ‘MORE‘ option to open a drop down menu.
- As the drop down menu opens select ‘Filter massage like this‘
- After clicking on filter massage like this a new box will open which will contain the boxes of information like ‘FROM’ where you can find mail ID of sender, now don’t change anything just click on ‘Create filter with this search’
- After this step Gmail account will take you to next step where it will ask you to choose an action do with the mail that going to come from this specified sender; here you need to choose ‘DELETE IT’ option to avoid future mail from this sender. After selecting ‘DELETE IT’ just click on the ‘CREATE FILTER’ link at the bottom of box.
That’s it, you have created filter for future incoming mail from an unwanted mail ID. There are other option too that is also helpful to use like ‘Never send it to spam’, we can use this action for those mail which are important for us but Gmail account keep throwing them in spam folder.
